Commercial Energy Audits
IES Commercial uses state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to quickly pin-point deficiencies that result in high utilities, poor indoor air quality, and moisture problems. Click on the links below to learn more about what tests are conducted during an IES Commercial energy audit.
THERMAL IMAGING |

|
For a typical IES Commercial assessment, a blower-door is used to create a temperature differential between the building's interior and exterior. A thermal-imaging camera then clearly identifies area of poor insulation, infiltration or construction areas that act as thermal bridges. The illustration clearly shows areas of missing insulation at the top of the wall and the thermal bridging. |

Thermography is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement camera to "see" and "measure" thermal energy emitted from an object. |
|
Infrared cameras capture thousands of measurement points of each image. A real life example would be scanning an 8' X 8' wall. An infrared camera would capture three hundred temperature readings per square foot of this wall. | | | |
