Improve Indoor Air Quality

Installations - Air Quality

Indoor air pollutants are unwanted, sometimes harmful materials in the air and is among the top five environmental health risks.  Usually the best way to address this risk is to control or eliminate the sources of pollutants, and to ventilate a home with clean outdoor air.

An IES installed whole house air exchanger, including HEPA filtration, will ventilate and filter the air in your home on a continuous basis, effectively reducing airborne pollutants and controlling humidity, thereby protecting your family's health and the structure of your house.

In addition, a heat recovery device transfers the energy of the exhausted air to the incoming air without contamination, which saves money and decreases wear on your furnace.

If you have concerns about the quality of the air in your home, be sure to tell your IES consultant.  They will provide you with numerous solutions to your air quality issues, including installing a Broan whole house air exchanger, Honeywell humidifier and anti-bacterial systems.

Green Facts

In general, indoor air is four to five times more polluted than outdoor air.  According to a recent EPA study, indoor air contaminants are responsible for, or aggravate half of all illnesses.  It is recommended we drink two quarts of clean water each day.  By comparison, we inhale nearly 15,000 quarts of air each day.
