Insulation

Installations - Insulation

When selecting insulation for your home, you want the best performing product available, and the one that provides you with the best value for your money.

That's why IES uses cellulose insulation which provides greatest value and performance, including the highest R-value per inch, excellent fire retardant capabilities and exceptional sound control, not to mention the fact that cellulose is one of the greenest building products in the world today.

Cellulose insulation can be blown into attics and walls and can be added to older homes that currently have very little insulation installed.

IES also uses foam insulation in some cases such as to re-insulate a wall which has existing insulation or basements.  Foam is effective year round and it's performance will not degrade over the lifespan of the home.

Green Facts

Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newsprint and other paper sources, paper that might otherwise end up in landfills, releasing greenhouse gases as it decomposes.  If all the paper currently being put into landfills each year were converted to cellulose insulation, it would save approximately eight million tons of CO2 emissions.
